How do you train?

I got hooked on Crossfit some time ago but I've had a bit too long of a break now. I got pregnant with twins and have not really gotten back into that training since they were born one year ago.

My ambition and plan is to start with Crossfit shortly again since that is something I really enjoy and I feel like it provides a good mix of strength, cardio, gymnastics and balance. I have a background playing handball and horseback riding and started working out at the gym as a 17 year old. During 10 years I was also a spinning class instructor at different gyms.

What/Who motivates or inspires you in life and your fitness?

This has changed depending on what phase of my life I am in. Now with three kids that are 1-3 years old who keeps me very busy, they take priority and are the most important part of my life. It is still important for me to feel good to develop and enjoy life. In my career I get inspired by women who can balance family with several small children, work, and training in a healthy way.

Why you love working with SF Group?

I have been with the company over 15 years now and I often say I enjoy it so much because its like “starting a new job every year”. With that I mean that we are constantly developing as a company and it has truly been an exciting journey so far. I feel that I personally have developed a lot as well. I have traveled a lot and I've had the opportunity to meet so many interesting people and visit different countries through my job!

What are your long term goals with fitness/life?

I really want to introduce a lifestyle where being active comes natural for my children and is something we as a family can share. I want to introduce them to a variety of sports and activities where they can find the joy of movement .

My cousins wife and mother of 2, Terese Alven, is a big inspiration for me when it comes to this. Sadly she just passed away, only 37 years old in an aggressive form of cancer. She was one of the first training bloggers in Sweden (2007) and has written several books and been an appreciated speaker on different subjects involving children's health, training for the family etc.

I think today with phones, computers and electronic devices being such a big part of our lives, it's more important than ever that we as parents take responsibility over our children's health. Terese has through text and video given so much inspiration around this. She sheds light on the fact that introducing more movement for children does not have to involve gym or specific sports, and most definitely you as a family can share this joy of movement together.

Do you have any specific life changing moments to share?

This would definitely have to be when my children was born. I had been focusing on myself only for so many years. I was able to be spontaneous with travelling (I love travelling!), when and how to work out, when to hang out with friends etc. Having three kids within 2 years has both been the best thing that have ever happened to me, as well as the most challenging in so many ways.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Spending time with family. I like for us to be active together and to spend time outdoors. We live on the countryside so we have really nice surroundings. We have just purchased bicycles and a stroller for the kids that attaches to the bicycles. This way we can get out and explore the neighborhood together this summer. This stroller can also be used for running, so I plan to take it for some jogs as well.

Another hobby is home interior and since we just moved to a new-built house we have a lot of work to do with landscaping in our yard (first project is to build a nice patio).
