Once the realm of possibility is opened, it is a broadening of ones perspective. The one thing that will never be absent is the work involved in attaining what this new perspective has made you aware of.

Stay Hungry and Don't Give In | May Mash-Up

What's the best way to always take two steps forward and no steps back? Eliminate excuses and distractions.

You have heard it many times over but, just like in bodybuilding, hearing and understanding the "reps" of "the only person holding you back in YOU" is crucial to your foundation of knowing what you really want to pursue in life. Once you truly know your why is when you cut distractions and excuses from your life without a second thought.

Olivia Gravengaard and Emily Miller link up for back training. They are both in the figure category, Olivia is making her professional debut here in 2021 and Emily is preparing to enter and National qualifier to later make her run at turning pro herself.

In usual Olivia and Luke fashion and with this particular Emily collaboration, they train and spell out the nuances in exercise selection and execution.

"Lat and back development in the figure division is huge." They discuss the importance of emphasizing lat development with laser focus on hitting lats with respect to function and range of motion.

Then Olivia and Emily get deep with their own definitions of what is "true bodybuilding" and when everything lines up, from nutrition and training to skipping weekend bangers and prioritizing regular sleep patterns, to make consistent and true progress as fast as possible.

True Progression & True Bodybuilding: Olivia Gravengaard and Emily Miller

Demyya Welch and Taylor Meholick can often be seen in Destination Dallas throwing massive weight around, yelling at each other to get those last few reps, and sharing big smiles at the end of each set. The two met only three months ago, but feel like they've known each other for three years.

"I definitely think everyone should have a person that they can rely on, that's another eye on their physique, that keeps an eye on their mentality, that keeps an eye on their actions, like anything and everything. It's just very good to have that extra person to lean on."

Being Better Than Yesterday - Demyya Welch and Taylor Meholick

Divine is quickly becoming known for his fresh take on pro bodybuilding and living life in the moment.

4 days before winning the Pittsburgh Pro he visited an outdoor music festival aka a rave. Most cases in the professional ranks, when someone is preparing for a contest they prioritize that contest above everything else.

This approach, needless to say, is not Divine's approach. He went to a 2 day rave and had the time of his life as he explains why in this video, and then went on to win his competition and qualify for the 2021 Mr. Olympia.

How's Your Training - US and Europe

"I think it's all about consistency, coming in day in and day out and doing the work. That's the same thing in life, with relationships. Marriage takes work, it takes consistency. Dealing with your children takes work, takes patience, takes consistency."

Bo Jones is staying consistent during his prep for his upcoming show at the New York Pro. Now just 4 weeks out till he steps on stage, he's feeling eager to continue taking the stage at the Milwaukee Pro, and then finish up the tour at Dallas Europa.

Competition can bring out the best in you. Provided you are a competitive person by nature then competition will force you to level up at the risk of feeling the burn of defeat.

Having said that, even if someone were to lose a competition, it can always be framed as a learning experience therefor competition can expose weak areas which can then be strengthened.

The NPC Texas Legends Championships had some great competitors come out for a very early season national qualifier. At many competitions we try to elevate the competitor experience and give back in terms of apparel and training accessory give aways as well as putting all the winners on the global platform to further expand on our mission of changing the world through fitness.

Sunday at Destination we had the opportunity to catch up with Leehna (figure winner) Armon (mens physique winner) DJ (classic physique winner) Mariana (wellness winner) Rachel (bikini winner) Montrel (masters physique winner) and Chad (classic physique winner).

All of these champions brought their best and have very different backgrounds with very potent passion and purpose driving them to compete and level up on their own lives with fitness as a common ground.

Brittney Bejar contacted Olivia Gravengaard to get help with her eating. With other aspects of Brittney's life giving her the inner perspective of "never being good enough," she developed an over bearing and rigid structure on things that she could control like her eating and social life.

Just 4 months ago Brittney jumped at the possible opportunity of change. It was all or nothing in her head, going form one extreme to the other. Restrictive eating to eating 6 times a day. From that point Brittney experienced extremely fast progress thanks to her new found fondness of bodybuilding and proper nutrition as well as her proactive approach to keeping herself outside of her comfort zone.
